Synthesis method of CTAC 30% 50% 99% CAS 112-02-7
1. Put 250 kg of hexadecanedimethylamine into the reactor. Add 250L of petroleum ether to dissolve. Pass in 47 kg of methyl chloride. Stir and heat up under sealed conditions, and azeotrope at 80°C for 1 h. Cool, lower temperature, lower pressure, add ethanol and ethyl ester mixed solvent to recrystallize at normal pressure to obtain finished product. [2]

2. Under the catalysis of CuO/Cr2O3 series catalyst with silica gel as carrier, cetyl dimethyl tertiary amine is synthesized by cetyl alcohol and dimethylamine at a certain temperature and pressure. Then use sodium hydroxide as a catalyst to react with monochloromethane to obtain cetyltrimethylammonium chloride.
