White crystal or powder. Melting point 199-202℃, slightly soluble in water and methanol. It is almost insoluble in chloroform, ether, acetone and carbon tetrachloride. Odorless, bitter taste. Its sodium salt is easily soluble in water.

 

 

 

Application
Can be semi-synthesized broad-spectrum penicillin. The product is not resistant to enzymes, is stable to acid, and has low toxicity. It has an inhibitory effect on both Gram-negative and positive bacteria, and has a strong effect on Escherichia coli, Influenza bacillus, Salmonella, Shigella and some Proteus.
