Description
4-Chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol PCMX is an efficient broad spectrum low-toxicity antibacterial agent. It has good efficacy in antibacterial to gram-positive, gram-negative, epiphyte and mildew, recognized as a one of the main antibacterial agents by FDA. It has good chemical stability. The solubility in water is 0.03%. It is freely soluble in ethanol (96%); freely soluble in ether, in terpenes and in fixed oils. It dissolves in solutions of alkali hydroxides.
Application
- PCMX is a highly effective broad-spectrum antimicrobial and preservative,used to inhibit bacteria,fungi and mold growth. Display a combination of sterilization and preservation of unique,so efficient and no toxic in many sterilization application.
- Used as sterilization in family,medicine,industrial supplies, also added to some medicinal powder,soap,hygiene and anti dandruff shampoo.
- As a preservative and fungicide, applied in paint,textile,paper making industry,cosmetics and polishing agent
