CAS 76674-21-0 corresponds to Flutriafol, a triazole systemic fungicide that mainly inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis. It is widely used for the prevention and control of grain powdery mildew, rust, and smut.
Basic Information
-Chinese name: Fenzolol
-English name: Flutriafol
-Molecular formula: C ₁₆ H ₁∝ F ₂ N ∝ O
-Molecular weight: 301.29
-Structural features: α – (2-fluorophenyl) – α – (4-fluorophenyl) -1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-ethanol
-Research and Development Background: Successfully developed by British company Jelicon in 1980
Physicochemical properties
-Appearance: White to off white crystalline solid
-Melting point: 130 ℃
-Water solubility: about 130 mg/L (20 ℃, pH 7)
-Solubility: Easy to dissolve in organic solvents such as acetone, dichloromethane, methanol, etc., difficult to dissolve in water
-Stability: Stable in acidic, alkaline, hot, and humid environments; Avoid coexisting with strong oxidants
-Storage conditions: Sealed and stored in a ventilated and dry place at 0-6 ℃
Mechanism of Action and Application
-Mechanism of action: Sterol demethylation inhibitor (DMI) blocks fungal ergosterol biosynthesis and disrupts cell wall structure
-Sterilization spectrum: Effective against basidiomycetes and ascomycetes (such as powdery mildew and rust fungus), ineffective against oomycetes and bacteria
-Main purpose: To prevent and control powdery mildew (with eradication effect), rust, and smut diseases of crops such as wheat, barley, and corn
-Conductive characteristics: Strong internal absorption, mainly conducted through root absorption to the top, unable to transport laterally in the phloem
Safety and Toxicity
-Acute toxicity: Oral LD ₅₀ in rats is approximately 1140-1480 mg/kg (category 4), and transdermal LD ₅₀>1000 mg/kg
-Irritation: Slight irritation to the eyes, no significant irritation or sensitization to the skin
-Environmental risk: low bioaccumulation, no clear evidence of carcinogenicity or reproductive toxicity; Use according to pesticide regulations and control residues
This substance belongs to pesticide raw materials and cannot be used as medicine or for household purposes. When operating, protective equipment must be worn and local pesticide management regulations must be followed.
