CAS 102851-06-9 corresponds to Tau fluvalinate, which is an efficient and broad-spectrum pyrethroid insecticide and acaricide with contact and stomach toxicity effects.

Core Basic Information
-Chinese name: Flufenapyr (alias: Mabulik, Fuhuali)
-English name: Tau fluvalinate (ISO name); (RS)-α-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl N-(2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-D-valinate
-Molecular formula: C ₂₆ H ₂₂ ClF ∝ N ₂ O ∝
-Molecular weight: 502.91
-Appearance: A viscous yellow to orange yellow liquid with a distinctive odor
-Physical constant: Density of approximately 1.29-1.31 g/cm ³; Boiling point ≥ 450 ℃; Flash point is about 10-90 ℃ (data sources vary greatly, commonly labeled as 10 ℃ or 90 ℃); Very low water solubility (~0.001-0.002 mg/L)
-Toxicity characteristics: Acute oral LD in rats, male 282/female 261 mg/kg; Rabbit transcutaneous LD ₅₀>2000 mg/kg; Highly toxic to aquatic organisms, relatively safe for bees but should be used with caution.

Main purpose and application
-Mechanism of action: Neurotoxic agent, interferes with insect sodium ion channels, has contact killing and stomach toxicity activity, and some varieties also have anti food and repellent effects.
-Target of Prevention and Control: Widely used in cotton, fruit trees, vegetables, tobacco and other crops to prevent and control aphids, cotton bollworms, red spider mites, diamondback moths, leafhoppers, whiteflies, mites, etc; The effectiveness of pests that develop resistance to various pyrethroids decreases.
-Caution for use: Do not mix with alkaline pesticides; Long term continuous use can easily lead to drug resistance; Mulberry gardens, fish ponds, and surrounding areas are prohibited to prevent silkworm and fish poisoning; The EU approval is valid until January 31, 2027.

Safety and Compliance Tips
-Environmental risk: extremely toxic to aquatic organisms (R50/53), avoid discharge; The half-life of soil is 6-15 days (depending on conditions).
-Emergency measures: No special antidote, symptomatic supportive treatment is the main approach; Excessive intake can be used for gastric lavage, and vomiting should be avoided.
-Regulatory status: It belongs to restricted use of agrochemical intermediates/raw materials, and some countries/regions have revoked or tightened their registration (such as Denmark); Scientific research purposes need to be managed according to hazardous chemicals.

This substance is mainly used for agricultural crop protection and control of bee colony mites (such as Apistan strip), but it is no longer the preferred pesticide in many areas due to resistance issues.
